Jorgenson firmly believes in himself and Vingegaard: "I've improved since the Dauphiné"

Tuesday marks the first serious uphill battle in the Tour de France. In the fourth stage, the peloton will tackle the 2600-meter-high Col du Galibier, where contenders for the general classification can test each other. What are they expecting at Visma | Lease a Bike?

Matteo Jorgenson looked ahead for the team after the third stage. "As the stage progressed, I started feeling better and better. My legs are definitely in good shape. I even feel like I've improved since the Critérium du Dauphiné. We'll be entering high mountains for the first time. I'm excited and we're all looking forward to it," said the American. "The goal is to guide Jonas through this stage without issues. He's impressed me in the past few days. Jonas is riding with a lot of confidence. It's going to be another test,'" Jorgenson emphasized.

Vingegaard would be surprised if Galibier is the decisive stage in Tour

Vingegaard himself looked ahead to the stage with Danish TV2. 'I'm looking forward to it and curious to see how my legs will feel. Once we know that, we can plan our strategy. There might be time gaps, but I don't think it will be the decisive stage in the Tour de France. That would surprise me,' he said.

The Dane explored the Galibier - including the descent towards Valloire - just before the Tour. "We also have to concentrate on that descent,' said Vingegaard, who, with four other GC riders, could just as easily take the yellow jersey. "That is indeed possible, but it is just as possible that it stays with Carapaz."
