Ben Alexander O'Connor, born on 25 November 1995, is an Australian professional road cyclist with UCI WorldTeam Decathlon–AG2R La Mondiale. His professional career started in 2015 at Navitas-Satalyst Racing Team. In 2020 he claimed his first Grand Tour stage victory at the Giro d'Italia on stage 17, a day after securing a second-place finish on stage 16.
In 2021 he left Team Dimension Data to join his current team. His remarkable performance at the 2021 Tour de France included a solo win on stage nine, propelling him to second in the general classification after the stage, and ultimately finishing fourth overall.
In 2022, he secured a notable victory in the Tour du Jura and a stage win in the Volta a Catalunya. O'Connor continued to excel with notable top ten finishes in the general classification of stage races such as Critérium du Dauphiné, Tour de Romandie. Vuelta a Andalucía and the Vuelta a España. In 2023 he noted top finishes in the Critérium du Dauphiné, Tour du Jura and Tour Down Under.
The 2024 season started strongly for O'Connor, winning the Vuelta a Murcia and finishing second overall at the UAE Tour, including a stage win in stage 3.
