A moment not soon to be forgotten for Mathieu van der Poel. The Dutchman was riding the time trial in the Renewi Tour on Thursday, lost control in a corner, and seemed about to crash hard. Van der Poel ended up performing quite well in the time trial. He finished 36 seconds behind, keeping himself in the upper ranks of the standings, which he will certainly want to shake up during the challenging final stage on Sunday.
