expected to shift to cyclo-cross by the end of December. The situation is less clear for Van der Poel and Pidcock. The Alpecin-Deceuninck world champion has not disclosed any plans, and Pidcock said after his last road race that he’s still considering whether cyclo-cross fits into his winter schedule.
A new video from the UCI could be a promising sign that the trio will indeed hit the cyclo-cross circuit. The World Cup kicks off on November 24 in Antwerp, Belgium, later than ever. This timing is designed to ensure December sees the top riders facing off in the biggest competitions. Early December will feature races in Dublin and Sardinia.
