Jonas Vingegaard contributes to Visma | Lease a Bike's top day with a new victory: "They did a fantastic job"

Jonas Vingegaard was in a league of his own in the third stage of O Gran Camino. The Dane won solo just like yesterday, with a significant lead over his rivals, and it seems like the overall victory, unlike last year, will not be slipping away from him anymore.

"I'm glad I've reached the podium again," he shared afterward with the Spanish newspaper AS. "My teammates did a fantastic job. I heard earlier that Carlos Canal is from this area, so he would be very motivated, and for him, it might be a bit disappointing that I won. The other teams will be watching us on Sunday, and we'll devise a plan to defend this yellow jersey." The Spanish stage race concludes on Sunday with an uphill finish.

It was indeed an absolute top day for Visma | Lease a Bike. The Dutch team dominated the men's Omloop Het Nieuwsblad with an early break, seemed to jeopardize it later on, but in the end, Jan Tratnik secured the win for Van Aert and co. The Killer Bees also celebrated in the women's race after Marianne Vos's sprint victory. "It was a very good day for the team with victories from Tratnik and Marianne Vos in the Omloop," said the Dane at the finish, after learning about his teammates' results.
