Lefevere reveals large chunk of Evenepoel's 2025 program: "Sanremo, Tour of Flanders, and then the Tour"

Currently, he may be the most celebrated man in cycling, partly due to his impressive Tour and his gold medal in the Olympic time trial. Remco Evenepoel reached the podium in the French three-week race and will surely return to the Tour in the future. In the meantime, his team manager Patrick Lefevere has already revealed some other races where Evenepoel is likely to appear.

Evenepoel is also a rider who, in principle, should perform well in the classics due to his explosive sprint. He has already won Liège-Bastogne-Liège twice, and the 2022 World Championship featured a classic course. Therefore, they will experiment with some races that Remco has not yet ridden, Lefevere confirms to DH Les Sports.

Evenepoel to debut in Milan-San Remo in 2025

Lefevere is referring to several classics. "The idea is for Remco to discover Milan-San Remo and the Tour of Flanders in 2025. He will also participate in Paris-Nice or Tirreno-Adriatico and races in preparation for the Tour of Flanders: Dwars door Vlaanderen or the E3 Harelbeke," said Lefevere. Normally, the Belgian will then work towards another participation in the Tour de France. "And he will also return to Liège-Bastogne-Liège."

The unconventional team boss also reflected on the Tour and the time trial. Lefevere was not surprised by his protégé's gold medal, as he had seen it coming from afar. "To be honest, I expected it a bit. He leaves nothing to chance. Sunday evening, after his third place in Nice, he didn't last long at the party we organized in Antibes. And on Monday, he was already back on the bike. He has a perfect lifestyle. I also think he is a favorite for the road race on Saturday," said Lefevere.
