Fenix-Deceuninck has announced that Annemiek van Vleuten will join the team as a 'performance mentor.' This is an incredible addition to the Belgian team, which has managed to secure one of the most experienced and sought-after Dutch cyclists. But that is not the only good news.

Indeed, Fenix will also remain the team's title sponsor for two more years. "This long-term commitment provides a strong foundation for continued investment in the team’s growth and organizational development. The team remains dedicated to process improvement and fostering an environment that enables consistent top performances. This vision aligns seamlessly with FENIX’s philosophy, a brand renowned for its focus on innovation, technology, and excellence," the team said in a press release.

Fenix-Deceuninck recognizes stagnation and plans to address it

In addition, the team will invest more in talent development and its talent pool, which has dried up somewhat in recent years. "To address this and strengthen the foundation of women’s cycling, Fenix-Deceuninck is entering into a partnership with NXTG Racing. This collaboration aims to inspire more young women to take up cycling and break down barriers to entry. Through this investment, the team reaffirms its commitment to nurturing the next generation of talent and expanding the sport’s reach."

NXTG founder Natascha Knaven-den Ouden also shared her thoughts. "We are happy that Fenix-Deceuninck supports us in this renewed start. Our project is entirely focused on the foundation: providing opportunities for young talents, guiding them, and preparing them for the elite. In our discussions, it quickly became clear that we share the same vision. If you truly want to grow women’s cycling, you must invest in the foundation. We can’t wait to inspire and help develop the next generation together."

Alé becomes new apparel partner for Fenix-Deceuninck

Fenix is described as "a brand of colors, representing a wide spectrum of creativity and identity," according to the press release. With this in mind, the team will introduce a new jersey. Because, yes, indeed, there is also a new apparel partner in town. "Together with new kit sponsor Alé, the team will bring this concept to life through striking designs. In addition to the iconic 'verde commodoro' and the established team blue, the 2025 season will introduce a new color: 'rosso namib.' Thanks to the UCI allowing us to switch outfits up to three times per year, all three colors will appear at different moments throughout the season, both in and around the peloton."

Starting in 2025, Alé will become the official clothing supplier for Fenix-Deceuninck. "Women’s cycling has always been a top priority for Alé," says Alessia Piccolo, CEO of APG, which is the company behind Alé. "We are proud to collaborate with a world-class team and look forward to supporting them with high-quality products."
