Pogacar gives health update, Evenepoel responds playfully: "Marathon man Pog"

Tadej Pogacar has provided an update on his current health on Instagram. The Slovenian from UAE-Team Emirates suffered a complicated wrist fracture during Liège-Bastogne-Liège and is currently undergoing rehabilitation. However, Pogacar seems to always be in high spirits, and perhaps Remco Evenepoel's reaction helps with that...

"Finally an update on my daily life," Pogacar begins his message. "The past two weeks have been good. I have explored Monaco, worked hard on the rollers, and taken care of my wrist as best as possible. Life is never boring, especially now that I can cheer on Urska Zigart on TV in the Tour of Burgos," Pogacar refers to his girlfriend, who will be racing in the Spanish region starting Thursday.

Pogacar not cycling outside yet, Evenepoel gets laughs

Pogacar promises to keep everyone informed but admits that he hasn't been cycling outdoors yet. "For now, I'll continue to work hard in my kitchen and garden. I'll provide you with a new update when I'm back outside on the bike."

The reaction of Evenepoel (Soudal-Quick Step) is also worth mentioning. The world champion had to leave the Giro d'Italia due to a positive COVID-19 test but hasn't lost his sense of humor. Evenepoel responds to photos of a running Pogacar and wishes his competitor all the best. "Marathon man Pog! Keep fighting, boss!"
