The crash in the twelfth stage of the Tour de France will leave its mark in the coming days. Primoz Roglic was the most prominent name to hit the asphalt hard, resulting in significant time loss and, ultimately, Primoz leaving the Tour. However, many other riders couldn't avoid the crash either. Here's an overview. At Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe, Roglic was the only one who fell. The Slovenian was awaited by his entire team, but the leader never gave the impression that he could return. His shoulder was completely exposed, and even putting power on the pedals seemed difficult. "We can't say much about his injuries yet, although the doctor initially ruled out fractures. However, as we saw with Aleksandr Vlasov, that doesn't mean much," said his team. "We'll know more on Friday morning. The podium is out of reach anyway." On Friday morning, the team then announced
Roglic would withdraw from the race.

Powless breaks wrist, doubts about Drizners
At
EF Education-EasyPost,
Neilson Powless, Sean Quinn and Richard Carapaz were among those affected on Thursday, with Powless sustaining the most damage. That happened not during Roglic's crash, but in a crash 24 kilometers from the line. "A scan after the stage showed a small fracture in Powless' wrist. He is allowed to continue racing by the doctors," EF said in
a press release. Quinn fell on his elbow but was able to continue. Carapaz also fell without serious injury. "Fortunately, there is no risk in continuing," Powless stated. "I'm racing on and if it doesn't get worse, it'll be OK."
Lotto-Dstny also reported that Jarrad Drizners, Maxim Van Gils, Brent Van Moer and Cedric Beullens had been involved in a crash in
a team statement. "Maxim, Brent and Cedric got away without injury. Jarrad finished the stage, but had pain in his back and shoulder. An X-ray showed no fractures, but the team doctor will see if he can start Friday's 13th stage."

Other riders who crashed in twelfth Tour stage
At Arkéa-B&B Hotels, Raúl Garcia was reported to have suffered abrasions on his arm and nose, Chris Harper (Jayco-AlUla) escaped without injuries, and Alexey Lutsenko - the first man to fall for Astana Qazaqstan - can also continue. "Scans showed no fractures. The expectation is that Alexey will continue."
