A well-deserved period of enjoyment is breaking for Remco Evenepoel, affectionately known as the little Belgian, after he crowned himself Olympic champion in cycling, both in the time trial and on the road. An unprecedented achievement, that has captivated and inspired many. We know his wife Oumi as being very involved in Evenepoel's career, and so she is very much living through it with her husband.
On Saturday, Evenepoel secured his second Olympic title, this time in road cycling, by breaking away from the pack and leaving his competitors trailing. This victory not only excited his fans but also had a significant impact on his close circle, especially Oumi, who actively shares their life on social media.
Following his latest victory, Oumi posted on Instagram a touching throwback that highlights their deep connection. Alongside the celebratory images of Evenepoel’s gold medals, she also uploaded a photo from 2017 showing the early days of their relationship when they were just teenage sweethearts. Her post included a heartfelt tribute to their enduring love.

The message from Evenepoel's wife is also one for anyone who dreams of great successes and is looking for some confidence. "This is your sign to never give up. Even when it feels impossible, even when the world says you're not enough, even if you hate yourself, even if you hit rock bottom. Stand up and show them what you're capable of."

MrYuck23-11-2024 - It seemed that he was focusing forward at the time of the crash, after seeing a quick video snippet. But one thing I think he should focus on more intently is breaking a bad habit he has, right now. And that is his constant looking over his shoulders. He does that so much, that I am very sure it is not good for him. Simply watch videos of the greats of CX and you will see very little of that constant looking over their shoulders. That is a behavior that betrays a bit of insecurity on his part. He shouldn't be so concerned, incessantly, about what is over his shoulder. He needn't worry they didn't all disappear. He neds to keep his focus more ahead of himself, and he needs to pay a bit more attention to himself, in a confident manner. It is very frustrating to watch, because it is apparent that he has a lot of potential, and is in much better shape thwan many of his competitors, but the mental game needs to be sharpened more, because that part of strategy plays a huge part in the final results
