Strong debut in U23 category

In the 2015-2016 season, Eli Iserbyt debuted in the U23 category. On January 31, 2016, he won the Cyclo-cross World Championship in Zolder as a first-year U23, making him the youngest-ever world champion in this category. That same year, he also claimed overall victories in both the World Cup and the Superprestige. His remarkable achievements earned him a professional contract with Marlux-Napoleon Games in June 2016. In the following years, Iserbyt continued to collect titles, becoming European champion in Tabor in 2017 and world champion in Valkenburg, Limburg, in 2018.

Iserbyt shows class in elite category

Iserbyt rode his first full season in the elite category during the 2019-2020 season, joining the Belgian team Pauwels Sauzen-Bingoal. As a debutant among the elite, he achieved nine victories in cyclo-cross and won the DVV Trophy overall. He also finished second in both the World Cup and Superprestige standings.
In 2020, Iserbyt continued his winning ways, securing the European cyclo-cross title on November 8, 2020, marking the start of a promising career. Over the years, he has consistently claimed victories and competed for overall wins in various standings, proving his value to Pauwels Sauzen-Bingoal. However, success at the World Championships has been elusive. He placed third in both Fayetteville (2022) and Hoogerheide (2023), where Tom Pidcock, Mathieu van der Poel and Wout van Aert proved too strong. If Iserbyt manages to secure a world champion title in the coming years, it would serve as the crowning achievement of his career.
