- Sorry, newbie here: what exactly is a “shadow leader”? Is that like a back-up captain who can take over if Pogi has a bad stage, or more like a stage hunter with GC freedom? The article wasn’t super clear to me.

- UAE look dialed. Pogačar cruising Romandie and Suisse by minutes, Del Toro winning in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes — depth for flat control and high-mountain support is there. Plan B with Isaac is clever if crosswinds or a bad day bite. Reminds me of 2020 Jumbo having multiple cards.

- Matxin talking up Seixas to Vingegaard’s Giro level is a big call, but I love the confidence. Kid looked electric this spring. Still, three weeks is a different beast — positioning, third-week fatigue, recovery between mountain blocks. Let’s see how he handles back-to-back summit finishes.

- Toujours dans nos coeurs, Saïd. Deux Tro-Bro Léon, c’était pas un hasard. Un vrai guerrier. Merci pour tout.

- Sad, but is there any confirmation beyond L’Équipe? Sometimes these early reports get things wrong. Would be good to see an official statement from France Télévisions or Auber

- RIP Saïd. He was brilliant on the Breton farm tracks, always positioning perfectly before the sectors. Also loved seeing him on the moto for France TV at the Tour—he knew exactly where to be.

- Didn’t know much about him before today—what makes Tro-Bro Léon so special compared to Paris-Roubaix? Is it the same kind of cobbles or different?

- Heartbreaking news. Haddou’s Tro-Bro Léon wins in ’07 and ’09 were pure grit on the ribin. A real hardman’s racer. Condolences to his family and the Europcar lads who rode with him.

- Johannessen extension through 2028 is massive for Uno-X. He was sneaky-good last year. If he repeats his Basque/TAR form, he could nick a stage and ride into a quiet top-8 again. Go on lad!

- Pidcock as undisputed leader at Pinarello-Q5 is bold, but his Andorra win + that Vuelta podium behind Vinge and Almeida shows he’s stepped up. If he paces the first real Alpine block, top-5 isn’t crazy at all.
