Alexander Aranburu Deba, born on 19 September 1995 in Ezkio-Itsaso, Spain, is a professional cyclist currently riding for the UCI WorldTeam Movistar Team. His professional career started with the Euskadi Basque Country–Murias Taldea in 2016, following an initial engagement as a stagiaire with the team in 2015. In 2020, Aranburu joined the Astana Pro Team, marking a significant step in his career.
In 2022, he secured a notable victory at the Tour du Limousin, winning both the overall classification and Stage 2. His performance that year also included a third-place finish in the National Road Championships road race, a third place overall at the Boucles de la Mayenne, and top-ten finishes in the Circuito de Getxo and the Giro della Toscana.
The following year, 2023, continued to see Aranburu at the forefront of competition with another third-place finish in the National Road Championships road race, third places at both the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal and the Gran Piemonte, a fourth place at the Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec and top 10 finishes in the Deutschland Tour, GP Miguel Induráin, Clásica de San Sebastián and Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana.
