Alpecin-Deceuninck has, as every year, announced all their transfers for the new season at once. The team is introducing five new faces, with three joining their development squad. They also recruited young talent from Bahrain Victorious and UAE Team Emirates. Additionally, four riders are advancing from the development team to the WorldTour lineup.
At 25 years old, Johan Price-Pejtersen is the most experienced new addition. The Dane, who previously raced with Team ColoQuick and Uno-X Pro Cycling, joined Bahrain Victorious in 2022. He was highly regarded as a top talent after winning the time trial championships at the European, World and national levels in the U23 category. Last summer, he appeared to fulfill this promise by winning the Danish elite men’s time trial championship. However, Price-Pejtersen was disqualified for riding on the sidewalk.

At Alpecin-Deceuninck, Price-Pejtersen hopes to take his development to the next level. "Alpecin-Deceuninck has clearly established itself as a dominant force in cycling in recent years, with a strong winning culture and an uncompromising commitment to performance. It's exactly the kind of environment I want to be a part of," said the Dane through the team's official channels.
The other newcomer, joining Alpecin-Deceuninck from outside the team, is Gal Glivar, a 22-year-old Slovenian who’s enthusiastic about the move. "I'm a rider with capacities for short, explosive climbs and I'm not slow in a small group sprint. My short-term goal is to make a smooth start in the WorldTour. My long-term goal is to win some big races and participate in the Tour de France."

Simon Dehairs, Ramses Debruyne, Emiel Verstrynge and Tibor Del Grosso are also joining the WorldTour team in 2025 after previously being part of the Alpecin-Deceuninck development squad. Del Grosso and Verstrynge are well-known from cyclo-cross. The other three new recruits, joining the Alpecin-Deceuninck development squad, are Stefano Viezzi, Nio Vandevorst and Aless De Bock.
Viezzi combines cyclo-cross and road racing, with a particular focus on one-day classics on the road. Vandevorst is also ambitious, aiming to become "one of the best riders in the world" with his strong sprint and ability to handle some climbing. De Bock, on the other hand, is still exploring what kind of rider he is. "Although I prefer longer climbs, I performed better on shorter climbs this past year. It will be a matter of figuring out what suits me best, but ideally, I would like to combine both. I also enjoy time trials."
