The cycling world crushed Lance Armstrong after his career, but he has now found his place again differently - as someone who shares his opinion with his THEMOVE podcast. In addition, he regularly joins other well-known people in the United States, as he did now with Jackass member Steve-O. He discussed specific topics with Steve-O, an inexperienced man in professional cycling.

Steve-O introduced Armstrong - who has seen all the Jackass movies - as 'the most famous cyclist' of all time, but also asked him some difficult questions. One question concerned the claim Armstrong received from US Postal, the team he won the Tour de France six times. "They wanted 100 million dollars from me. Which I didn't have," the American laughed.

"It was either 107 or 111 million dollars. That included expensive lawyers, signed endorsements, and things like that," he explains. "It was a lot. They convinced me there was a five percent chance that I would indeed have to pay, even though I assumed that the percentage was zero. After five years, we finally settled." The settlement amount was said to be around 5 million dollars.

And that ultimately had consequences, although Armstrong luckily came out on top with a good investment. "I lived in uncertainty for a while but invested early in Uber. When the company had just started, that saved my family's quality of life, so to speak. That investment was fucking magic," he says without hesitation. "I am no longer a shareholder, but it is now worth 70 billion dollars. We invested when it was worth 3.5 million dollars. You can do the math. To put it in context."

It is unknown exactly how much the former cyclist invested in the American company at the time, which he did through a Chris Sacca investment fund. "He did a great job helping me with this investment."

Armstrong speaks out in favor of doping measures

The stuntman also asked Armstrong, "What the hell is wrong with doping?" to which the Texan could not help but smile. "I understand your question, but you must have some guard rails in place. I am not a fan of these agencies that enforce things primarily because I think they are ineffective. They spend a lot of money, and they are just not that effective, but that does not mean we should say that everyone can do what they want. I don't think you should do that."

"We should not let athletes do as they please. Then they take enormous risks," Armstrong says. "Exactly how dangerous is doping? Steve-O, this is a non-starter. And I'll tell you why. The IOC monitors everything; all sports are part of that because they are part of the Olympic movement. And that's a good thing," the American concludes.
