Visma | Lease a Bike is saying goodbye to Jesse Kramer after three seasons with the U23 team. In recent years, the Dutchman from Valkenswaard also competed in races for the pro team but did not qualify for a permanent transfer to the WorldTour formation. Kramer did manage to find a new challenge.
The 21-year-old rider announced on Instagram, "2024 is over, so my time with the Visma | Lease a Bike Development Team has ended. I have had three great years in this setting and want to thank everyone who contributed."
"I have learned a lot in these seasons and have grown as a rider and a person. I will take that with me for the rest of my life," continued Kramer, who immediately announced his new direction. "Now it is time for a new adventure at Hagens Berman Jayco, which I am very much looking forward to." Kramer will now have to deal with national coach Koos Moerenhout and team boss Axel Merckx, the sports director at that formation.

Kramer provided more information about his new employer: "I think this is an important step to becoming a pro. I feel I can further develop into a complete pro and am very motivated to start with the team. My biggest strength lies in the hilly and tough races, and I hope to win throughout the season and get ready for the WorldTour."
Merckx is also satisfied. 'Jesse has much experience; we need that in our young team. He will be a kind of road captain, but besides that experience, he also brings good results and strength to Visma | Lease a Bike.'
The Dutch team also thanked Kramer on social media for his services. "What a great journey we’ve had together! Year by year, you’ve made steady progress, winning queen stages in the Olympia’s Tour and the Tour de Bretagne along the way, and gaining invaluable experience with our WorldTeam. We wish you all the best with your future team and will be cheering you on throughout the rest of your career."
