Puck Moonen is engaged. The Dutch cyclist and influencer, who just over a week ago won the Turbo Cross in Diegem with Bas Tietema, announced this on social media. Her South African boyfriend, Callan O'Keeffe, and she got engaged on New Year’s Eve, Moonen revealed.
Moonen and O'Keeffe met on that very day two years ago in Barcelona, according to the Dutchwoman. "We got engaged on NYE, the day we met for the first time 2 years ago in Barcelona. And when you know, you just know," they wrote on social media.
O'Keeffe (28 years old) previously raced as a driver for the Red Bull Junior Team and the Lotus F1 Junior Team, but he ultimately did not make it to Formula 1. Moonen (also 28) raced for Lotto Soudal for a few years and, in recent seasons, primarily focused on gravel races alongside her online activities.
The two met through an exclusive dating app, as Moonen revealed just over a year ago. "A new year also means it's exactly one year ago since the random stranger I met on a dating app flew out to Barcelona to celebrate NYE with me. He was not a catfish and here we are now," she captioned a photo she posted at the beginning of 2024.

But one thing I think he should focus on more intently is breaking a bad habit he has, right now. And that is his constant looking over his shoulders. He does that so much, that I am very sure it is not good for him. Simply watch videos of the greats of CX and you will see very little of that constant looking over their shoulders. That is a behavior that betrays a bit of insecurity on his part. He shouldn't be so concerned, incessantly, about what is over his shoulder. He needn't worry they didn't all disappear. He neds to keep his focus more ahead of himself, and he needs to pay a bit more attention to himself, in a confident manner. It is very frustrating to watch, because it is apparent that he has a lot of potential, and is in much better shape thwan many of his competitors, but the mental game needs to be sharpened more, because that part of strategy plays a huge part in the final results
