Astana Qazaqstan Team knows which eight riders will represent the team in the upcoming Vuelta a Espana. Dutchman Ide Schelling is among them, as are classification riders Lorenzo Fortunato, Harold Tejada, and team boss Alexandre Vinokourov's son Nicolas Vinokourov.

Schelling may be able to show off his fast legs after a tough race in one of the transition stages of the upcoming Tour of Spain, while the team will mainly rely on Fortunato and Tejada uphill. Fortunato finished twelfth in the Giro this year; Tejada particularly impressed in the final time trial of the Tour, where he finished eighth.

In addition, Italian Gianmarco Garofoli, Kazakhs Gleb Brussenskiy, Nicolas Vinokourov, South Americans Santiago Umba and Harold Martin Lopez are on it for the Vuelta. For the entire Astana selection, it is essential to grab UCI points, as the formation is currently relegated.

The 22-year-old Vinokourov, son of former rider and team boss Alexandre, is making his grand tour debut.
