UAE Team Emirates is, by far, the best team of this season. While largely carried by the success of Tadej Pogacar, the team as a whole has also performed exceptionally well this year. The riders in white have claimed more than eighty victories, and there could be a few more this week. The Giro del Veneto and the Tour of Guangxi are both coming up, offering two more opportunities for the team, which has, as expected, put together strong line-ups.

In China, the six-day Tour of Guangxi is set to begin on Tuesday. Tim Wellens will lead the team and is eager to chase another overall victory. He previously won the race in 2017. "I have very good memories racing in China. I had the honor to win the first ever edition of the race back in 2017 and we’re going there with a strong team to try and repeat this feat again," he said in the team’s press release.

Hirschi wants to make one last big statement in Italy before moving on to Tudor

"Stage 5 with the hilltop finish will be the decisive day usually. Pavel Sivakov is coming here in really good form for the GC and Sebas Molano will be aiming for the sprints. It won’t be easy but we have a strong team and we will be aiming for more victories to end this amazing season in the best possible way,” concluded the experienced Belgian, who is also keen to go for stage wins and the overall victory himself.

And that’s not all. On Wednesday, the Giro del Veneto is also on the agenda, where UAE will start with a top-tier lineup. Hirschi will be saying goodbye as he moves to Tudor Pro Cycling after this season. Joining him are big names like Diego Ulissi, Finn Fisher-Black and Jay Vine.
