The provisional start lists for Milan-Sanremo have been published. On Saturday, March 22, we will once again enjoy La Primavera and look for a successor to Jasper Philipsen. The first edition of the women's race is also on the schedule. IDLProCycling.com lists all participants.
There are no big surprises on the men's start list. However, we were looking forward to finding out which domestiques top favorite Tadej Pogacar would be taking with him. The so-called entry list includes Jhonatan Narváez, Tim Wellens, Nils Politt, Brandon McNulty, Domen Novak, and Vegard Stake Laengen. However, McNulty fell ill in Paris-Nice and could be replaced by Isaac del Toro.
The other favorites have no more surprises in store. For Alpecin-Deceuninck, Mathieu van der Poel and Jasper Philipen will have Kaden Groves and Gianni Vermeersch at their side, while Mads Pedersen and Jonathan Milan will compete with former winner Jasper Stuyven. Filippo Ganna and Tom Pidcock are more leaders in their formations.
Visma | Lease a Bike is counting on Olav Kooij as its absolute leader in Wout van Aert's absence. The Belgian is still at an altitude training camp in Tenerife. Christophe Laporte, who has been battling a virus for some time, will not participate.

Besides the men's race, we will also enjoy the first edition of the women's race. Judging by the field of participants, Milan-Sanremo will also be immediately recognized as a Monument. Lotte Kopecky will make her seasonal debut on behalf of SD Worx-Protime alongside riders such as Lorena Wiebes. Still, with riders such as Demi Vollering (FDJ-Suez) and Marianne Vos (Visma | Lease a Bike), there are plenty of other contenders. On Saturday, we will know who will go down in the history books as the first winner of Milan-Sanremo for women.
