Performing well in Asian fall for De Kleijn: Dutchman again best in bunch sprint

Arvid de Kleijn won the fifth stage of the Tour of Langkawi. The Tudor rider was the best in the bunch sprint in Melaka. Max Poole kept his leader's jersey.

At the stage's beginning, some hills were waiting for the riders. However, the last one was already a hundred kilometers from the finish—no problem for the sprinters, who showed remarkable resilience. Several attempts to break away in the final kilometers followed; for example, Sean Quinn took off in the Malaysian sun. However, he was stranded at fifteen hundred meters from the finish. Tudor Pro Cycling well delivered Arvid de Kleijn. Maikel Zijlaard did a wonderful lead-out for De Kleijn. Italian Malucelli, as did Gleb Syritsa, still came close, but the sprint became a victory for the Dutchman.

De Kleijn was satisfied afterward. He indicated in the flash interview that the victory did not come on demand. "I sprinted well after a beautiful lead-out from the men. I was behind right at the beginning of the stage. Ultimately, I returned with the other sprinters, and it became an ordinary stage. I'm delighted with this."
