The die is cast: Cédrine Kerbaol will race for EF-Oatly-Cannondale as of 2025. It is undoubtedly a top transfer for the American women's team. The number six of the past Tour de France Femmes and the first Frenchwoman to win a stage in the Tour is one of the most promising GC riders. Thanks to
a clause, the 23-year-old Kerbaol could leave her team,
CERATIZIT-WNT Pro Cycling. Indeed, riders from the German team had the option to leave pending the certainty of a WorldTour license for next season. This would have made the team dependent on wildcards. Kerbaol made use of that clause. The team has since announced that the necessary paperwork for WorldTour status has been (re)submitted to the UCI, but the French rider decided not to wait for it. A remarkable detail is that EF-Oatly-Cannondale will not be a WorldTour team next year.
Besides the stage win, her sixth place overall, and the junior jersey at the Tour de France, Kerbaol achieved several other brilliant results. In the fall, she won a completely rain-soaked Tre Valli Varesine. The Frenchwoman born in Brest finished sixth in the Tour de Catalunya, second at the national time trial championships, and ninth in the Tour de Romandie.

Kerbaol also makes Tour de France Femmes goal in 2025
Kerbaol
reveals that she has felt attracted to the team for a long time. "There are a lot of strong riders here, so I'm coming with expectations of doing big things with the team," she said ambitiously. "Long, solitary efforts, like a time trial or a breakaway, are my biggest strength on the bike. That's how I like to race. Long, solitary efforts like a time trial or a breakaway are my main strength on the bike. That's how I like to race. I'm a strong climber and, something I wouldn't necessarily have said in the past, a strong descender too," Cédrine said, referring to the downhill masterclass she executed to win a Tour de France Femmes stage this summer.
This will again be her biggest goal next year. "I love the Tour de France Femmes, and next year, the second stage will start in my hometown. I was born in Brest so that's a really, really big target I'm looking forward to. Dreams inspire me. I like to keep my dreams to myself, but I want to become the best rider I can be."
EF-Oatly-Cannondale's general manager, Esra Tromp, is equally excited about Cédrine's arrival. "Cédrine is a rider who fits the DNA of the team. Her style of riding is exactly how we want to race. It's exciting to watch how she will risk losing in order to give her all for a result. She is an impressive rider and still quite young. We both have big ambitions, and I am confident that we will grow and achieve together," concluded Tromp.
